In celebration of RMNP's 75th they are co-ordinating a summer of entertainment.. what a summer to visit clear lake country. On July 26th the Park Rededication they are featuring... Brian Glow, Ed Stozys, Lou Lou and the Tom cats, Joey Adamouski and our own Songs of RMNP. For Parks Day the Air Command Band, Dixie Land, Janskta. And for Canada Day, Fingle Last Pint, Mitchel Grob.. Don't miss it.

This summer in celebration of Riding Mountain National Parks 75th Anniversary the Elkhorn Resort and Clear Lake Golf Course are co-ordinating Clear Lake Idol. Registration forms can be picked up at the Front Desk of Elkhorn Resort or Clear Lake Golf Course. Vocalists from Wasagaming, Onanole, Erickson, Sandy Lake and Minnedosa are participating to win $1500.00 in prize money. Judges are to be confirmed. Rush Seating at the Door $5. Sunday August 10 and Monday August 25th/08.

The third annual Clear Lake Chamber Music Festival will take place August 1 - 4/08. All concerts (except the Jazz performances which will take place August 2 at the the Marina, Clear Lake and August 3 at Jay Winburns' place) will be held in the Onanole Community Centre. Celebrated pianist and world-renowned concert musician, Alexander Tselyskov, will be joined by violinist Oleh Krysa and Joyce Lai, cellist, Joshua Roman and Yuri Hooker, violist, Daniel Scholz, jazz saxophone, Naomi Forman, soprano and David Playfair, baritone. In conjunction with the Festival, as Summer Music Academy has been added this year. Master classes for student will be offered in Piano, Strings, Voice and Jazz. The Academy will be held July 28 - August 1/08. at Brandon University School of Music.

A number of business, non-profit, and government partners within Riding Mountain area are partnering to create Manitoba's newest fall festival Sonics and Sojourns - featuring workshops (music, agriculture, environment, national park ecology, climate change and sustainable tourism) fall adventure tours, interpretive outings, music, cuisine and organic market and activities encouraging environmental leadership. Capitalizing on the national park gateway presence of Onanole (which will have a brand new Community Centre as the festival base) and Riding Mountain National Park's 75th anniversary, this unique festival will combine learning, adventure and sustainable tourism during the fall season.
