FROM WINNIPEG (WEST PERIMETER HIGHWAY)
(Approx. distance: 254 km or 153 miles; approx. 2.6 hours)
Travel west 88 km (53 miles) on Trans-Canada Highway No. 1 past Portage La Prairie. At the intersection with the Yellowhead Highway (No. 16), turn north (right) onto Hwy. No. 16 and travel northwest through Gladstone, Neepawa and Minnedosa to Hwy. No. 10 (approx. 116 km or 70 miles). Turn north (right) on Hwy No. 10 and travel north through Erickson and Onanole (approx. 50 km or 30 miles). Just north of Onanole is the Riding Mountain National Park gate. Once you are past the RMNP gate, Elkhorn Resort is the first right hand turn after the Park gate.
FROM REGINA via BRANDON:
(Approx. distance from Brandon: 91 km or 55 miles; approx. 1 hour)
Follow the Trans-Canada Highway east to Brandon. Go through the first set of traffic lights at Brandon (18th Street, or Highway No. 10 South) and proceed one more mile (1.6 km) to the 1st Street corner (Highway No. 10 North). Turn left and travel north (approximately 91 km or 55 miles) on Hwy No. 10 past Minnedosa and through Erickson and Onanole. Just north of Onanole is the Riding Mountain National Park gate. Once you are past the RMNP gate, Elkhorn Resort is the first right hand turn after the Park gate.
FROM DAUPHIN
(Approx. distance: 75 km or 45 miles; approx. 55 minutes)
Travel south (approximately 70 km or 42 miles) on Hwy No. 10 through Riding Mountain National Park (note that the section of highway through the Park has a reduced speed limit in most places of 80 kph / 50 mph; watch for wildlife on the highway). The entrance to the resort is located on the left approx. 5 km (3 miles) past the Clear Lake Golf Course turnoff, which is located at the eastern edge of Clear Lake. If you reach the Riding Mountain National Park south gate, you’ve gone too far!
