A Norwegian term for a long-distance cross-country ski race, a "loppet" is for anyone who loves the joy of gliding across the snow, whether for fun or for competition. The Riding Mountain Loppet on Saturday, March 5th will have distances of 1.0 km (Chipmunk), 5.7 km (Jackrabbit), 13 km (Cougar) or 26 km (Wolf) for skiers of all ages and skill levels.

The "Grey Owl" is one of the largest and longest-running golf tournaments of its kind in North America. Every year, during the second weekend in June, 320 golfers tee it up at the picturesque and challenging layout in the Riding Mountain National Park's Clear Lake golf course.
